How to Search and Apply to your Selected Rental Property using our Approval Method:

Directions and Protocols for Searching and Applying to your Selected Rental Property:

1.   When you search for a rental property you want here are a few good protocols to consider to maximize your chances of approval.

  • Search for a property that will approve a first time renter or someone with no to very little credit. These type of properties are likely to work well with our corporate leasing through RIN approval method.

In fact, its best to call the property to speak with the property manager or landlord and ask them directly if they require a credit score. Present yourself as  a first time renter or someone with no credit to get a feel of their approval standards. You want to give them the idea that you don’t have any credit but have great rental history. If the property is friendly towards the type of renter mentioned, then they’ll likely approve you with the Renters ID number we have added positive rental history on through tradelines.

  • When filling out your rental application to the property of your choice, do NOT use any of the addresses you lived at prior. The Renters ID department should provide you with a address to use, but if not, simply use an address of a family member or friend as your prior addresses of residence.

  • On the Rental Application, please show up to 2 or 3 years of rental history. Make sure you place the time span you stayed at your prior rental properties equals up to at least 3 years of total rental history.

2.     Please Note, by the time you receive your Renters ID number we have already added positive items to the credit profile with our corporate tradelines. We have also added positive rental history to the credit profile of your renters ID number. This will help you through the screening process.

3. After the Renters ID Department emails you your Renters ID Number, we have also applied the necessary positive credit items to the credit profile of your renters ID number under our corporate credit to improve your Renters ID Number in order to secure the approval when your chosen rental property screens the rental application.

4. Search and apply to rental properties that allow you to apply online, and/or request for an online rental application due to being out of town. Also submit any required verification documents online as well. Most rental properties should allow for this in the case an applicant is out of town and needs to complete the process online. This method increases the approval chances.

  • In the case in which you tour the property one day but want to apply using your Renters ID number the next day, just let the property manager or owner know you’re out of town but want to secure the property immediately then ask to apply online, via fax, or emailing them all required paperwork.
